Biography

BIO

Patrick O’Moore was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1909.

He made his British film debut for Gaumont British in 1934, at the age of 25, and appeared in one Irish film in 1938 before coming to New York after Britain’s entrance into World War II in 1939.

O’Moore made his Broadway debut in 1940 and appeared in another production two years later, but remained for the rest of his career in Hollywood.

He signed with MGM and debuted in his first U.S. picture in 1941.

O'Moore went on to appear in over 70 feature films.   His last film was released in 1982.

O’Moore also appeared as a guest actor in many television series beginning in the 1950s and was a regular on Death Valley Days (1963-1970).

His first wife was the actress Zelma O’Neal.

O’Moore died in Los Angeles, in 1983, at the age of 74.
